Alejandro Olvera Killed and 3 Injured in Rollover Crash on Sierra Road [El Mirage, CA]

Jessica Olvera and Two Teenagers Hospitalized after Off-Roading Accident near Mountain View Road

 
EL MIRAGE, CA (June 3, 2018) – A man was killed Sunday afternoon and three others were injured following an off-roading rollover crash on Sierra Road near Mountain View Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash took place at 2:00 PM near a dry lake bed. A 2016 Polaris Razor 4, driven by 22-year-old Jessica Olvera, was heading east on Sierra Road at a high rate of speed when it slammed into a dirt berm. The vehicle overturned twice before coming to a rest on its wheels.
 
One of Jessica’s passengers, 39-year-old Alejandro Olvera, sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene of the crash. Jessica and two other passengers, a 19-year-old Victorville local and a 17-year-old girl, suffered moderate injuries and were all taken to the Antelope Valley Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
 
Investigators ruled out drugs and alcohol as contributing factors, but are considering Jessica’s speed and the road’s condition as possible causes.
