Pasadena Man Died in Semi-Truck Collision in 210 Freeway Sylmar
Sylmar, CA (May 15, 2020)– On Thursday night, a 39-year-old Alejandro Madrid died in a two-vehicle collision on the 210 Freeway.
According to reports, the crash occurred near the Polk Street exit at about 10:55 p.m. on May 14, involving a vehicle and a semi-truck. However, what lead to this fatal accident is still under investigation.
Dispatched officers arrived and found a fiery 2012 Cadillac on the scene where the victim, a Pasadena resident, died on the spot.
Moreover, it is still unknown if alcohol and drugs are factors in the crash. As a result, the accident prompted the closure of all eastbound lanes of the Foothill Freeway near Polk Street for more than five hours. The freeway reopened about 4:15 a.m.
