39-Year-Old Ontario Man Struck and Killed by Train near Metrolink Station
UPLAND, CA (April 10, 2018) – A man was fatally injured in a train accident on Mountain Avenue, around 3:45 PM on Tuesday afternoon.
The victim was identified by the San Bernardino County coroner’s office as 39-year-old Aldwin Moraga Lejarde of Ontario. Police officials and paramedics responded to the crash site near the Metrolink station shortly after the collision, and pronounced the man dead on scene.
Authorities shut down the area where the accident occurred for some time to investigate.
It is unclear why the man was on the tracks. Investigation continues with the Upland Police Department and the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department’s Railway Division. No other information has been released at this time.
