Alberta Lavetta Cons Dies after Crash on 51st Avenue in Phoenix
Phoenix, AZ (August 11, 2022) – Wednesday morning, 30-year-old Alberta Lavetta Cons died in a crash on 51st Avenue and McDowell Road.
The fatal crash in Phoenix happened at around 5:40 a.m. on August 10.
Phoenix Police said a pickup truck was heading south on 51st Avenue when traffic began to slow and backed up due to a disabled vehicle in the curb lane.
The driver then swerved to the left and hit another pickup truck traveling north on 51st Avenue.
Moreover, after hitting the vehicle, the driver then swerved to the right and hit Lavetta Cons who was standing on the sidewalk near her disabled vehicle.
Cons sustained fatal injuries.
There are no other injuries reported. Both drivers remained at the scene.
Further investigation into this fatal crash is underway.
