Turlock Multi-Vehicle Accident on Lander Avenue and South Avenue
TURLOCK, CA (May 11, 2022) – Sunday night, authorities arrested Albert Ramirez after crash on Lander Avenue and South Avenue.
The incident began at 8:23 p.m. on Flower Street and Grant Avenue with a hit-and-run.
As the officers responded, they received a report that the suspect vehicle from the hit-and-run got involved in another crash on Lander Avenue and South Avenue.
Thus, officers responded to the second crash. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located a gray Chevrolet SUV, a black Toyota sedan, and a white Chevrolet pickup truck.
35-year-old Albert Ramirez of Turlock drove the suspect vehicle in the hit-and-run, a gray Chevrolet SUV. Ramirez didn’t suffer any injuries. Meanwhile, a male adult driver and a female adult passenger occupied the black Toyota sedan. The female passenger sustained minor injuries but declined hospitalization.
Meanwhile, a female adult driver and a male juvenile passenger occupied the white Chevrolet pickup truck. Both of them suffered no injuries in the crash.
Furthermore, Ramirez showed signs of being under the influence. Hence, the officers began standardized field sobriety tests. Eventually, officers found out that Albert Ramirez was under the influence of alcohol.
At this time, the cause of the crash remains unknown.
When an officer went to the original scene, they located a gray Hyundai sedan that had been struck by Ramirez.
Moreover, they found no witnesses to identify Ramirez as the driver in the original collision.
Furthermore, the authorities arrested and booked Ramirez into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center. He’s currently facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and causing injury.
