Injuries Reported in Dyerville Auto Accident on Highway 101 near South Fork

DYERVILLE, CA (June 9, 2024) – Friday afternoon, an alarming vehicle crash on Highway 101 near South Fork injured 1 person.

The incident happened at around 1:14 p.m. on Highway 101 southbound near South Fork offramp near Dyerville Overlook.

Reports, the incident involved a vehicle that veered off the roadway. 

According to reports, a vehicle, not visible from the road, was discovered with a patient trapped inside. Despite the need for extrication, the patient reportedly sustained minor to moderate injuries, and no air ambulance was required. 

According to scanner reports, multiple vehicles pulled over to assist before emergency crews arrived at approximately 1:30 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) took charge of the rescue efforts, working diligently to safely extricate the individual from the vehicle. To facilitate the operation, one northbound lane was closed as of 1:31 p.m. 

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available,  the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
