1 Person Hurt in Sacramento Auto Accident near Rio Linda Boulevard and Grand Avenue
SACRAMENTO, CA (October 26, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, authorities arrested one person after an alarming two-vehicle crash near Rio Linda Boulevard.
The incident happened at around 2:30 p.m. near Rio Linda Boulevard and Grand Avenue.
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, deputies spotted a vehicle that was reported stolen and started to give chase. Then, authorities lost sight of the vehicle less than a minute into the chase.
Moments later, officers received reports about a car crash involving the suspect vehicle and a civilian vehicle near Rio Linda Boulevard and Eleanor Avenue.
Moreover, officers arrested the alleged driver of the stolen vehicle and detained two other people who were later released. Also, paramedics transported the driver of the civilian vehicle to a hospital as a precaution.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office continued to investigate the crash.
