1 Person Hurt in Phoenix Auto Accident near 16th Street and University Drive
PHOENIX, AZ (December 25, 2023) – Sunday morning, an alarming two-vehicle crash near 16th Street and University Drive injured one person.
The incident happened near 16th Street and University Drive.
According to the Phoenix Police, a vehicle ran a red light and pulled out in front of a patrol car. Then, the officer driving the patrol vehicle swerved to avoid colliding with the first vehicle but ended up crashing with a bus and a light pole. Then, the force of the crash pushed the patrol vehicle to roll over onto its roof.
Moreover, responders transported the officer to a hospital with minor injuries.
Furthermore, authorities confirmed that the officer was looking for a speeding vehicle when the incident occurred.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
