1 Person Hurt in Sutter County Vehicle Accident on State Route 99 and O’Banion Road
SUTTER COUNTY, CA (October 28, 2024) – On Saturday, an alarming traffic crash on State Route 99 and O’Banion Road injured one person.
The incident happened on State Route 99 and O’Banion Road.
The California Highway Patrol said that a southbound semi-truck with a trailer collided with a passenger car that pulled out in front of the truck. Then, the force of the crash pushed the truck to roll over onto its side, spilling walnuts that it was hauling.
Responders transported the driver of the truck to a hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
Officers reported that State Route 99 was closed in both directions at O’Banion Road, but has long since reopened.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
Due to the limited information available, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
