1 Person Hurt in San Mateo Auto Accident on Highway 35 and Page Mill Road

SAN MATEO, CA (December 31, 2023) – Thursday afternoon, an alarming Tesla Cybertruck crash on Highway 35 and Page Mill Road injured one person.

The incident happened at around 2:05 a.m. on Highway 35 and Page Mill Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a southbound 2009 Toyota Corolla struck a dirt embankment for still unknown reasons. Then, the Toyota managed to reenter the roadway, veered across the double yellow lines, and into the northbound lanes where it collided with a Tesla Cybertruck.

Moreover, officers confirmed that the 32-year-old male driver of the Tesla sustained minor injuries, but declined transport to a hospital.

Furthermore, authorities reported that the Tesla Cybertruck did not appear to be operating in self-driving mode when the incident occurred.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
