Injuries Reported in San Antonio Auto Accident on W Cesar E Chavez Boulevard and S Pecos La Trinidad

SAN ANTONIO, TC (July 18, 2024) – Tuesday night, 2 people suffered injuries in an alarming rollover crash on W Cesar E Chavez Boulevard.

The incident happened at 9:30 p.m. at West Cesar E Chavez Boulevard and South Pecos La Trinidad, along Interstate 35, not far from UTSA’s downtown campus.

Police reported that the collision between two vehicles at the intersection caused one to roll over. Firefighters had to use the jaws of life to cut the roof off one car to rescue the female driver and male passenger. 

Then, both were transported to a hospital and are expected to recover.

Also, a pedestrian in a wheelchair was struck on the sidewalk during the crash but was treated and released at the scene.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
