Injuries Reported in Fresno County Auto Accident on Interstate 5 and Panoche Road

FRESNO COUNTY, CA (June 12, 2023) – Sunday morning, an alarming rollover crash on Interstate 5 and Panoche Road injured 3 people.

The incident happened just before 3:00 a.m. on Interstate 5 and Panoche Road, west of Mendota.

According to reports, a suspected DUI driver traveled on Panoche Road. Then, she attempted to turn onto Interstate 5.

Eventually, the 20-year-old struck a small embankment, causing the car to overturn at least one and struck a tree.

Moreover, a 19-year-old and a 22-year-old passenger both suffered major injuries and were transported to Community Regional Medical Center.

Meanwhile, the driver suffered moderate injuries. Officers confirmed that upon her release, they will arrest her on suspicion of DUI.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
