8 People Hospitalized in Laredo Traffic Accident on Zapata Highway and Cielito Lindo Boulevard

LAREDO, TX (June 13, 2024) – Tuesday night, an alarming police chase crash on Zapata Highway and Cielito Lindo Boulevard injured 8 people.

The incident started at around 7:00 p.m. in the Dolores Creek area of Zapata.

According to reports, the Zapata County Sheriff’s deputies were in pursuit of a vehicle. Then, the crash ended when the suspect vehicle crashed at the intersection of Zapata Highway and Cielito Lindo Boulevard.

Moreover, responders transported a total of eight people to an area hospital, all in stable conditions.

Furthermore, the crash closed northbound Zapata Highway but has long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Zapata County Sheriff’s Department continued investigating the crash.
