Injuries Reported in Hercules Auto Accident on Interstate 80 and Sycamore Avenue
HERCULES, CA (May 11, 2023) – Monday morning, an alarming police chase crash on Interstate 80 and Sycamore Avenue injured an infant.
The incident started at around 8:36 a.m. when an officer attempted to pull over a Mercedes for multiple vehicle code violations.
Then, as the officer activated the overhead lights and siren, the suspect vehicle fled the scene. The suspect traveled at a high rate of speed and collided with another vehicle.
According to reports, the suspect vehicle jumped a curb and drove away through mud and grass near the clock tower.
Moreover, authorities confirmed that a 1-year-old baby inside the victim’s car sustained injuries in the collision.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
