1 Person Hospitalized in Riverside Pedestrian Accident on Magnolia Avenue and Skofstad Street
RIVERSIDE, CA (May 16, 2023) – Monday night, an alarming pedestrian crash on Magnolia Avenue and Skofstad Street injured one person.
The incident happened at around 10:00 p.m. on Magnolia Avenue and Skofstad Street.
According to Riverside police Sgt. Emilio Angulo, a westbound 1999 Mercedes Benz struck a male pedestrian for still unknown reasons.
Moreover, responders transported the 36-year-old victim and the 34-year-old Mercedes driver to a hospital for treatment. Authorities confirmed that the pedestrian sustained critical injuries in the crash.
Furthermore, officers arrested the Mercedes driver after being medically cleared, on suspicion of DUI.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
