1 Person Hospitalized in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 5 near State Route 94
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 24, 2023) – Saturday night, an alarming pedestrian crash on Interstate 5 near State Route 94 injured one person.
The incident happened at around 8:29 p.m. in the No. 3 lane of Interstate 5, just south of State Route 94 off-ramp.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle struck a pedestrian who exited a stalled sedan and then ran toward the shoulder lane.
Moreover, responders rushed the victim to Scripps Mercy Hospital with unknown injuries.
Furthermore, the crash closed northbound Interstate 5, just south of the SR-94 connector for two hours. Also, authorities closed F Street on-ramp to westbound SR-94 after the incident.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
