1 Person Hurt in San Francisco Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 280 near US-101
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (January 22, 2024) – Saturday night, an alarming pedestrian crash on Interstate 280 near US-101 injured one person.
The incident happened at around 7:40 p.m. on Interstate 280 near US-101.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Honda CR-V crashed into sand barrels for still unknown reasons. Then, a white van attempted to avoid the debris from the crash and struck the Honda and an occupant of the Honda who exited the vehicle and was on the highway.
Moreover, responders rushed the victim to a hospital with major injuries.
Furthermore, the crash closed the connector ramp but has long since reopened.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
