1 Person Hurt in Redwood City Pedestrian Accident on Highway 101 near Maple Street

REDWOOD CITY, CA (October 19, 2023) – Monday night, an alarming pedestrian crash on Highway 101 near Maple Street injured one person.

The incident happened at around 7:25 p.m. on northbound Highway 101 near the Maple Street overcrossing.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a car attempted to brake and swerved to the right to avoid a pedestrian but failed. The front left side of the vehicle struck the pedestrian.

Moreover, responders rushed the victim to a hospital with unknown injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
