SAN DIEGO, CA (June 5, 2023) – Sunday morning, an alarming pedestrian crash on Fifth Avenue near F Street injured one person.
The incident happened at around 12:40 a.m. on Fifth Avenue near F Street.
According to police Officer Sarah Foster, a 2020 GMC Yukon struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street from east to west against a red light.
Moreover, responders rushed the 27-year-old pedestrian to a hospital with a life-threatening brain bleed.
Furthermore, the 54-year-old GMC driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities. Also, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
