SANTA ANA, CA (July 12, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, an alarming pedestrian crash on 17th Street injured one person.

The incident happened at around 2:40 p.m. at 2000 W. 17th Street.

According to Santa Ana Sgt. Maria Lopez, a westbound vehicle struck a female pedestrian who was crossing 17th Street.

Moreover, responders rushed the teen victim to a hospital with critical injuries.

Furthermore, the vehicle driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.

At this time, the cause of the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
