LAREDO, TX (December 28, 2023) – Wednesday morning, an alarming pedestrian crash near 1100 Chihuahua Street and McPherson Avenue injured one person.

The incident happened at around 10:26 a.m. near 1100 Chihuahua Street and McPherson Avenue.

According to the Laredo Police Department, a white Toyota Tundra struck a 74-year-old male pedestrian who was crossing the street.

Moreover, responders transported the victim to LMC in serious condition.

Furthermore, authorities confirmed that the driver of the Toyota who claimed that he did not see the victim due to the glare of the sun, remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
