1 Person Hurt in Kansas City Auto Accident on US Highway 40 and Hardy Avenue
KANSAS CITY, MO (August 8, 2024) – Monday morning, an alarming hit-and-run crash on US Highway 40 and Hardy Avenue injured one person.
Reports said that the incident started at around 4:40 a.m. when authorities attempted to pull over a 2010 Ford Edge for speeding to no avail and started a pursuit.
According to the Independence Police Department, the suspect vehicle was involved in a crash with another vehicle on US Highway 40 and Hardy Avenue. Then, the driver of the Ford fled the scene after the crash.
Moreover, responders transported one victim to a hospital with minor injuries.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the Independence Police Department continued to investigate the crash.
