SUN VALLEY, CA (June 4, 2023) – Saturday morning, an alarming hit-and-run crash on Lankershim Boulevard near Cayuga Avenue kills one person.

The incident happened at around 3:58 a.m. at the 8600 block of North Lankershim Boulevard, near Cayuga Avenue.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a northbound vehicle rear-ended another northbound vehicle for still unknown reasons and then fled the scene without stopping. Also, the victim’s vehicle rolled over after the collision.

Moreover, officers confirmed that the 27-year-old female occupant of the victim’s vehicle died in the crash.

Furthermore, authorities confirmed that no description of the hit-and-run vehicle was available as of this moment.

At this time, the circumstances involved in the crash remained unclear. When additional information became available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division continued to investigate the crash.
