EL DORADO, CA (June 11, 2023) – Friday morning, an alarming hit-and-run crash on Highway 50 near El Dorado Road killed one person.

The incident happened at around 3:00 a.m. on Highway 50, west of El Dorado Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a white 2018-2022 Honda Accord struck a pedestrian who was walking on the highway. Then, the vehicle driver fled the scene without stopping.

Moreover, officials confirmed that the pedestrian, a 16-year-old, died in the collision.
