1 Person Arrested in Sacramento Auto Accident on Highway 160
SACRAMENTO, CA (August 10, 2023) – Wednesday morning, an alarming hit-and-run crash on Highway 160 injured one person.
The incident happened on southbound Highway 160.
According to the Sacramento Police Department, officers attempted to stop a pickup truck for a vehicle code violation. Then, the vehicle refused to stop and fled northbound on the southbound lanes of the freeway. Also, the suspect vehicle, struck another pickup truck, and a third vehicle.
Moreover, responders transported one person to a hospital with complaints of pain.
Furthermore, officers confirmed that the wrong-way vehicle was a stolen pickup. Then, authorities arrested the driver of the stolen vehicle for hit-and-run charges.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
