EL CAJON, CA (April 18, 2024) – Wednesday night. an alarming hit-and-run crash on 400 West Washington injured one person.

The incident happened at around 10:20 p.m. in the 400 block of West Washington.

According to Sgt. Michael Murphy, an eastbound pickup truck struck a driver who exited a vehicle from an earlier crash. Then, the pickup truck fled the scene eastbound without stopping to provide aid.

Moreover, responders rushed the driver to a hospital with serious injuries.

Furthermore, authorities said that the hit-and-run vehicle is best described as a light-colored, possibly white or gray pickup truck, with damage to the passenger side, including a missing passenger mirror.
