Injuries Reported in Ventura County Auto Accident on Pacific Coast Highway near La Jolla Canyon
VENTURA COUNTY, CA (July 3, 2024) – Tuesday night, 7 people suffered injuries in an alarming head-on crash on Pacific Coast Highway.
The head-on crash was reported at about 8:25 p.m. on Pacific Coast Highway between Point Mugu and the Thornhill Broome Beach.
Firefighters at the scene reported significant damage to three vehicles involved in the crash. According to radio traffic, crews were treating seven patients. The CHP classified the incident as a major injury crash, but specific details about the severity of the injuries were not immediately available.
The highway was blocked in both directions for approximately two hours. It reopened around 10:30 p.m., as per CHP reports.
