1 Person Hurt in Wilmer Auto Accident on Interstate 45 and Pleasant Run
WILMER, TX (April 21, 2024) – Saturday morning, an alarming DWI crash on Interstate 45 and Pleasant Run injured one person.
The incident happened on Interstate 45 and Pleasant Run.
According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, a Toyota struck a Wilmer Police squad car that was working a traffic stop. Then, the force of the crash pushed the squad car into the traffic where it was struck by an 18-wheeler.
Moreover, responders transported an officer to a hospital with minor injuries.
Furthermore, authorities arrested the driver of the Toyota on suspicion of DWI.
Meanwhile, the crash closed northbound Interstate 45 but has long since reopened.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office continued to investigate the crash.
