1 Person Arrested in Dallas DUI Accident on Midway Road near Walnut Hill Lane

DALLAS, TX (July 2, 2023) – Friday night, an alarming DUI crash on Midway Road near Walnut Hill Lane injured 2 people.

The incident happened at around 11:00 p.m. on Midway Road near Walnut Hill Lane.

According to the Dallas Police Department, an unidentified vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed rear-ended another vehicle that spun out of control and crashed into a light pole and a third vehicle. Then, moments later, a suspected DUI driver struck a Dallas police vehicle that was blocking Midway Road.

Moreover, responders transported two occupants of the speeding vehicle to a hospital with critical and serious injuries. Then, authorities arrested a driver on suspicion of DUI.

Furthermore, officers confirmed that the occupants of the patrol vehicle sustained no injuries in the incident.

At this time, the cause of the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
