1 Arrested in Seattle DUI Accident on Interstate 5 near Columbian Way

SEATTLE, WA (January 11, 2024) – On Thursday, an alarming DUI crash on Interstate 5 near Columbian Way injured two people.

The incident happened on Interstate 5 near Columbian Way.

According to the Washington State Patrol, a southbound silver Ford hatchback traveling in the northbound lanes collided head-on with a taxi. Then, the force of the crash ejected the passenger of the Taxi into the roadway.

Moreover, responders transported the driver of the Taxi, the ejected passenger, and the wrong-way driver to Harborview with unknown injuries.

Furthermore, authorities arrested the wrong-way driver in suspicion of DUI.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
