2 People Hurt in Carlsbad Auto Accident on Interstate 5 near Poinsettia Lane
CARLSBAD, CA (February 29, 2024) – On Sunday, an alarming DUI crash on Interstate 5 near Poinsettia Lane injured two people.
The incident happened on Interstate 5 near Poinsettia Lane.
According to Lt. Ryan Wisniewski, a vehicle sideswiped a sheriff’s sergeant’s parked patrol vehicle that was blocking a scene of an earlier incident. Then, the suspect vehicle continued traveling before crashing again near the Poinsettia Lane off-ramp.
Moreover, responders transported the sergeant and the female driver of the vehicle to a hospital for treatment.
Furthermore, officers believe that alcohol played a role in the crash.
