AUSTIN, TX (December 4, 2023) – Sunday morning, an alarming DUI crash on Highway 71 near Austin Airport injured one person.
The incident happened at around 2:30 a.m. on State Highway 71, near the Austin airport,
According to the Austin Police Department, the incident involved an APD police car and a suspected intoxicated driver.
As a result, responders transported the APD officer to a hospital with unknown injuries.
Moreover, officers arrested the other driver for suspected drunk driving.
Furthermore, the crash closed eastbound SH 71 but has long since reopened.
