The authorities received a report of the crash at about 3:15 a.m. on Cathedral Canyon Drive near Dinah Shore Drive.

According to reports, the crash involved a vehicle and a 91-year-old bicyclist. When the officers arrived, they found the bicyclist, a Cathedral City man, down on the road with severe injuries.

“The male subject was unresponsive,” police revealed. “Cathedral City Fire Department responded to the scene, provided aid, and transported him to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.”
