Injuries Reported in San Angelo Vehicle Crash on N Chadbourne Street and E 27th Street

SAN ANGELO, TX (January 25, 2024) – Wednesday afternoon, an alarming auto accident on N Chadbourne Street and E 27th Street injured 1 person.

The incident happened when a Mazda 2 driver traveled south on North Chadbourne Street in the northbound lanes. Then, it struck a Chevrolet pickup truck trying to turn right from East 27th Street onto Chadbourne.

“As the truck turned, the units collided,” San Angelo Police Department Officer Long revealed. “At this time, it is unknown why the vehicle was driving southbound in the northbound lanes.”

After the crash, responders transported a female passenger in the Mazda to Shannon Medical Center for treatment. However, her injuries remained undisclosed as of this writing.

Meanwhile, the authorities issued a citation for the Mazda driver for driving on the left, Long added.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
