Injuries Reported in Ventura County Multi-Vehicle Accident on Moorpark Road near Tierra Rejada Road

VENTURA COUNTY, CA (July 27, 2023) – Wednesday morning, an alarming 4-vehicle crash on Moorpark Road near Tierra Rejada Road injured 2 people.

The incident involving four vehicles occurred at about 7:20 a.m. on Moorpark Road near Tierra Rejada Road.

Officers confirmed that the crash involved a semi-truck carrying lumber, leaving the roadway covered with timber.

California Highway Patrol Spokesman Ryan Ayers said that a northbound SUV on Moorpark Road somehow drove across the southbound lane and crashed first with the timber truck and then with a truck hauling a forklift and steel on a trailer.

As a result, the SUV ended up facing the wrong way in the northbound lane where it crashed with another vehicle.

At this time, the authorities haven’t made any arrests.

Moreover, the crash caused one vehicle to roll over.

Meanwhile, Ventura County Fire Department Capt. Brian McGrath noted that the injuries didn’t appear to be severe.

Moorpark Road from Tierra Rejada to Read Road was expected to reopen in late morning or early afternoon.
