According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened east of Appaloosa Road and west of Stallion Way.
Reports showed that 67-year-old Yoder’s 2011 Subaru Legacy left the roadway, colliding with the bridge crossing the west branch of Cherokee Creek. He then steered back onto the highway and ran into a Ford F-150 driven by Richard Fautt, 72, of Valley Springs. Yoder’s vehicle overturned from the collision.
Yoder sustained major injuries and was flown to a Modesto hospital. Fautt and his wife, 72-year-old Sandra, suffered minor injuries.
