SPRINGFIELD, MO (August 5, 2024) – Friday night, Alan Matney died in a fatal DWI crash on Glenstone Avenue and Portland Street.

The incident happened at around 11:50 p.m. on Glenstone Avenue and Portland Street.

According to the Springfield Police Department, a southbound minibike collided with an SUV that was Springfield Police Department.

Moreover, authorities confirmed that the rider of the minibike, identified as 30-year-old Alan Matney, died at the scene.

Furthermore, authorities arrested the driver of the SUV for DWI.
