Woman Injured in Indian School Road Fatal Crash
Phoenix, AZ (September 2, 2023) – On Friday morning, a woman was injured and 36-year-old Akua Safiya Miggins was killed in a collision near 67th Avenue and Indian School Road.
Officers said the two women were driving when their vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle.
As a result, two women’s vehicle struck a power pole and rolled over. Responding officers rescuers Miggins and the other woman from their vehicle.
The medical team attempted to save Miggins, however, she died at the scene while the other woman was transported with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers said the male suspect driver ran away from the scene before police arrived. No description of the suspect has been released.
