2 Dead in Los Angeles Plane Crash on West Waterman Drive
LOS ANGELES, CA (August 3, 2023) – Wednesday morning, a horrific single-engine Cessna airplane crash on West Waterman Drive killed 2 people.
The crash happened at around 10:37 a.m. at Van Nuys Airport in the 16300 block of West Waterman Drive.
“One small single-engine aircraft crashed at Van Nuys Airport and burst into flames,” the LAFD revealed “Fire crews quickly extinguished the flames, but, sadly, both occupants on board were found to be deceased.”
Also, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identities of the two victims.
“A single-engine CSA SportCruiser crashed at Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles around 10:40 a.m. local time on Wednesday, August 2,” the Federal Aviation Administration reported.
“Two people were on board,” the FAA added. “The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board will investigate. The NTSB will be in charge of the investigation and will provide further updates.”
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
