Breann Hayes, Adrian Sapien Dead Following Highway 101 Rollover Crash, Gina Garcia Arrested
Thousand Oaks, CA (February 05, 2021) – On Thursday, Adrian Sapien, 25, and Breann Hayes, 24, died, and Gina Garcia was arrested for the Highway 101 rollover crash.
The authorities received the crash report at about 12:10 p.m., north of Rancho Conejo Boulevard in the Newbury Park community.
When authorities arrived, they located the two passengers dead at the scene.
Responders took one seriously injured patient, driver Gina Garcia, to Los Robles Regional Medical Center.
Apparently, three vehicles were involved in the fatal accident.
Moreover, Garcia’s 2008 Kia Sorento overturned off the right side of the freeway. It landed on its roof approximately 50 feet off the roadway in heavy brush.
Before that, she struck two other vehicles, a Chevrolet SUV and a Toyota sedan. The drivers of those vehicles were said to be uninjured.
Subsequently, the rescuers used heavy rescue equipment to pull the from the wreckage. Even so, the Sapien and Hayes suffered fatal injuries in the Kia Sorento.
Police later arrested 58-year-old Garcia on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, as well as vehicular manslaughter.
The victims, Adrian Sapien and Breann Hayes, both lived in Ventura.
