Adrian Salinas and Bernard MaKoule Die in Malibu Canyon Car Accident
Malibu, CA (August 26, 2020) – On Tuesday, 18-year-old Adrian Salinas from Oxnard died after the car he was a passenger in tumbled 100 feet down an embankment near Stunt Road and Schueren Road.
Moreover, the California Highway Patrol and the Los Angeles County Fire Department said they found the black 1996 Mazda Miata in which Salinas was traveling, at around 3:50 p.m. on an embankment near the Topanga Lookout Trailhead and the Backbone Trail.
Subsequently, he authorities removed Salinas from being trapped in the wreckage. Immediately, they rushed him to a nearby hospital in “severe distress,” the fire department added.
Rescue crews closed the Stunt Road between Mullholland Highway and Scheuren Road at about 4 to 8 PM.
Meanwhile, Melanie Flores of L.A. County Fire said that it is not yet identified as to why the incident occurred.
Furthermore, the driver, identified as 17-year-old Bernard MaKoule, of Oxnard, was airlifted to UCLA Medical Center, but died shortly after.
