Motorcyclist Dead in Phoenix Accident on Superior Avenue
PHOENIX, AZ (August 8, 2020) – Thursday afternoon, Adrian Ruiz died in a motorcycle crash on Superior Avenue in Phoenix.
Just before 2:30 p.m., a 27-year-old female driver of a 2016 Hyundai Elantra traveled east on Superior Avenue. However, as she tried to turn north on 91st Avenue, she crashed with a southbound motorcyclist.
The authorities identified the rider as 27-year-old Adrian Nelson Ruiz. They also declared him deceased at the scene, said Phoenix police spokesman Sgt. Tommy Thompson.
According to the police reports, Adrian Ruiz wore a helmet during the crash.
Meanwhile, the Hyundai driver stayed at the scene and was evaluated. The authorities also confirmed that the female driver didn’t show signs of impairment. Moreover, she and her 25-year-old passenger were uninjured in the accident.
Thompson added that the crash remains under active investigation.
