Officers Search for Suspect Driver in I-27 Traffic Crash

Lubbock, TX (February 22, 2023) – On Saturday night, Adrian Holguin of Denver City sustained injuries in a hit-and-run collision on Interstate 27.

Holguin’s family said he was about to leave a nightclub in the 2200 block area when a vehicle struck him.

Officers said he was walking northbound and was attempting to cross the street in the 800 block of 22nd Street.

Holguin sustained moderate injuries as a result of the accident.

Hi’s mother, Becky Holguin, said he needed two surgeries and that he sustained damage to his face and a fractured forehead. Similarly, the victim’s shoulder was also fractured.

Luckily, people stopped to help Holguin.

Moreover, Holguin’s family said his truck was stolen. The victim’s family filed a second police report for the truck which is a 2018 Silverado burgundy pickup truck.
