Gruver Big Rig Crash Kills Drivers
Hansford County, TX (August 29, 2024) – 20-year-old Adrian Ceniceros of Perryton has died in a fiery vehicle collision on FM 2018 Tuesday afternoon.
It was about 2:22 p.m. when the collision happened on Highway 136, approximately four miles south of Gruver.
According to the investigating officers, a 2021 Peterbilt big rig driven by Mark Ray, 56, of Clinton, Oklahoma, was westbound on FM 2018.
At the same time, a 2001 Freightliner big rig driven by Adrian Ceniceros, was northbound on Highway 136.
DPS officers said Ray ignored the stop sign at the intersection and crashed into Ceniceros.
The Hansford County Justice of the Peace declared Adrian Ceniceros and Mark Ray deceased at the crash scene.
Meanwhile, both big rigs caught fire and the vehicles were significantly damaged.
DPS officers are investigating the collision.
