Bicyclist Adrian Albert Dead in Sonoma Auto Crash on Highway 12
SONOMA, CA (June 8, 2020) – Police identified Adrian Albert, 35, as the man who died in a bicycle accident on Highway 12 in Sonoma.
The crash happened over the weekend at around 8:20 p.m. According to the CHP, it was clear and warm during the dusk incident. However, they didn’t determine the velocity of the truck rode when it collided with Mr. Albert.
The officers arrived to the crash scene after receiving a 911 call.
The incident occurred when a light-colored pickup truck traveling to Sonoma on Highway 12, just west of Madrone Road hit a bicyclist.
Reports revealed that the rider traveled along the right edge of the road, pushing him off the road. Afterward, the truck escaped the crash scene.
As a result, the rider, Adrian Albert, suffered fatal injuries in the crash.

“We are asking for the public’s help finding the vehicle and driver of the truck that hit the cyclist,” Lt. Marc Rensperger of the Napa CHP stated.
Meanwhile, they described the hit-and-run truck as, “It is believed the hit and run vehicle is a silver, gray or white, 1998-2001, Dodge Ram pickup. The pickup sustained damage to its right front headlamp, turn signal, and is missing its passenger-side mirror.”
Furthermore, the police confirmed that the rider traveled alone. The victim’s age and identity weren’t disclosed due to pending family notification.
Moreover, the cyclist wore a helmet and rode a 2016 Cannondale CAAD bicycle. According to its product description, his bike was a “race-ready road bike.”
