Aden Uriostegui of Orange Struck and Killed, Sitani Pinomi Arrested for DUI
Orange, CA (May 20, 2021) – On Wednesday, 19-year-old Aden Uriostegui of Orange died and police arrested Sitani Pinomi in a DUI pedestrian crash on Tustin Street.
The fatal accident took place at about 10 p.m. at the Heim Avenue intersection, wherein Pinomi allegedly ran a red light and showed signs of impairment.
Apparently, Uriostegui was returning home from his job at Starbucks. He crossed the street with the right of way in a crosswalk when an F-250 Ford pickup struck him.
As a result, Uriostegui died at the accident scene.
Officers arrested Pinomi without bail on suspicion of vehicular murder.
Meanwhile, officers said Pinomi’s license was suspended due to a prior DUI. He was convicted in 2007 of driving under the influence in Los Angeles County.
Similarly, the prior DUI conviction can be used by prosecutors to upgrade charges from vehicular manslaughter to second-degree murder.
