CHP Seeks the Hit-And-Run Driver after Crash on Highway 9 in Boulder Creek

Boulder Creek, CA (February 18, 2022) – Police are still looking for the driver in a hit-and-run crash that happened on December 31, injuring 39-year-old Adam Diaz.

The hit-and-run crash in Boulder Creek happened on Highway 9.

CHP said a dark gray Jeep Renegade was traveling southbound out of town on Highway 9 at an unsafe speed and collided with a Diaz while he was walking in the roadway.

The driver then apparently fled the scene.

As a result, Diaz suffered nine broken bones and 19 fractures. His right arm has extremely limited mobility, and surgery left a several-inch scar winding from his shoulder down to his bicep.
