Injuries Reported in Palmdale Scooter Crash on Palmdale Boulevard and 80th Street

 
PALMDALE, CA (March 7, 2023) – Sunday night, a teenage boy suffered injuries in a scooter accident on Palmdale Boulevard and 80th Street.
 
The incident happened at 6:36 p.m. on Palmdale Boulevard at 80th Street East, said CHP Officer Patrick Kimball.
 
According to reports, the teenage boy riding a kick scooter went against traffic in Palmdale. Then, a westbound white Toyota Rav4 struck and left him with fatal injuries.
 
Responders transported the patient to Antelope Valley Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at 7:19 p.m.
 
After the crash, the compact SUV sustained damage to its hood and windshield. Officers also found the scooter in the street.
 
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
 
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
