HOUSTON, TX (February 11, 2024) – Saturday, a horrific auto accident on 1501 Interstate Highway 610 Freeway S killed 1 person.

The incident happened when a vehicle struck an officer inside his vehicle on 1501 E Interstate Highway 610 Freeway S at Lawndale working an extra job for TXDOT.

Then, the driver of the vehicle drove north and hit the trailer of the TXDOT vehicle.

After the crash, responders took the passenger in the vehicle to the hospital. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle was declared dead at the scene. Moreover, the officer suffered no injuries in the crash.
