Injuries Reported in Salinas Pedestrian Accident on Rossi Street and N Main Street
SALINAS, CA (March 13, 2024) – Tuesday night, Abraham Quezadamanzo was arrested following a street racing crash on Rossi Street and N Main Street.
Salinas Police received a report of a Dodge Charger and an Infiniti engaging in a street race on Rossi Street.
Then, the vehicles were observed traveling on North Main Street, where they veered onto the sidewalk and struck a pedestrian. The Dodge Charger overturned on the sidewalk, while the Infiniti fled the scene.
Law enforcement managed to transport the injured pedestrian to a local hospital; however, their current condition remains unknown.
Following the incident, officers apprehended the driver of the Dodge Charger, identified as 19-year-old Quezadamanzo. Officers said that the suspect faces charges of reckless driving causing specific injury and engaging in an illegal speed contest.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
